Jayda has become a lot of fun to hang out with, whereas before I found myself engaged in involuntary games of tag, or WWF wrestling. I take her out just the two of us whenever the possibility arrives. The latest discovery, thanks to Kristine's suggestion, was the library. There's a fun play area, all the books she can read, and fun interactive games and stories to enjoy. Jayda loved it, and mommy loved it! I was able to read my book in a rocking chair while she enjoyed her books in the play corner. I already can't wait to go back!
I've also braved taking her grocery shopping, which used to be BRUTAL! She did so well, and was even able to walk by the cart with minor redirection. I decided to reward her with the biggest Dora coloring book we could find. Coloring is now one of her favorite pasttimes, which is great!
A lot of the parks around Pocatello serve free lunches to children under 18 during the summertime. I know this because this is where we took the kids I worked with when I was actually working. When we took Jayda last summer, it was a lot more difficult to get her to eat. She really just wanted to run away and play and wouldn't eat a thing until we strapped her down to her stroller! She has obviously grown up a lot since last summer, because now she loves to have lunch at the park and sits at the table like a big girl and eats everything. It's so fun to watch them mature and turn into such big kids!
Notice the Dora lunchbox! Her newly prized possession!

We do the library and lunches too! Cara is the same way- she's so easy now, I never think twice about taking her with me, girls are so great that way!
