One of the most entertaining parts about having a boy and a girl is that there is absolutely no fuzzy line between my daughter's femininity and my son's masculinity. She is all girl and he is all boy!

Sesame Place
I'm finally caught up!! Holy cow, I didn't think I would actually see the day.
Last Saturday we took an impromptu trip to Sesame Place, we had so much fun! It's basically an amusement park for really young kids and I loved it because they can do EVERYTHING, not just the rides designated for young ones. We rode all sorts of fun rides, and it was so fun watching the kids enjoy them. The very last one we went on was a roller coaster, which Jayda was so scared to go on. It was actually really fun, especially considering that it was for little kids, but the minute it stopped Jayda started crying. It's okay though, she's already talking about how next time she's going to be brave enough to try it again.

White Coat Ceremony and Camping
Temple University has a White Coat Ceremony at the end of the Sophomore year, marking the point that they start working on actual patients. It's kind of a cool Rite of Passage and feels great that we're halfway done with school. During the ceremony I got to "coat" Glenn. I was nervous, but luckily no one tripped or anything like that! I'm so proud of Glenn, I can't even imagine how stressful this year has been for him, but he's handled it like a champ.
We didn't stick around for very long afterward because we wanted to go CAMPING again! This time we went only twenty minutes away to Fort Washington Park where we got a prime spot all to ourselves, for free! There is really nothing better then sitting in a camp chair around the fire, Diet Coke in hand, I love camping. This time we spent the night too, and the kids did great!

Goodbye Dinner

It's been so fun being out here with family, we've been lucky enough to be out here with three of my cousins and their family. But now Ben and Jordan are leaving to Chicago for their residency, which is so exciting, but we are so sad to see them go. Jordan was sweet enough to host a dinner before everyone scattered, and it was nice to be together one more time. We sure will miss you guys!!

Sandy Sprint
I really wanted to run the same 5K as I did last year, and luckily so did a few of the other girls here. Me, Stacey, Alissa and Angela all did the Sandy Sprint this year, and it was just as fun as it was last year. The weather and the trail we run were just gorgeous and the festivities afterwards were also a lot of fun.
The kids got to get their faces painted, eat cookies and make crafts. Not a bad deal!

Girls Night
One of the fun things about being a student out here are all of the other wives of students that you get to spend time with. And every month someone plans a fun themed girls night to get together and chat without the kids. In April Kristen and Stacey planned a fabulous girl's night for all the girls (all fifteen or so) that are leaving this month (tear!). They arranged a game from a TV show that I can't remember the name of, but it consists of fun silly games. Our team had to pick up different sized paper bags using our teeth. The last paper bag was so short that I was practically doing the splits to get it. The second game we had to spin until we had wrapped an entire roll of toilet paper around ourselves. DIZZZZZZY! All of us ended up on the floor afterwards, ha!
It was a great night, I was so glad that so many people were able to be there. I am going to miss these girls so much!

Valley Forge
I absolutely love going to Valley Forge. It's so pretty and there are endless trails to hike and bike. A few weeks ago we went to do just that. We took some less-beaten paths and had a great time exploring.

Our First Shore Day!
The beginning of April gave us some awesome weather and we took full advantage of it by heading to Ocean City for a day at the shore. We set up camp under the board walk and the let the kids go crazy. It wasn't warm enough to get in the water, but definitely warm enough to spend several hours playing, eating and getting plenty of marvelous sun on our faces. The company was wonderful and we had a great day.
