School starts early in California. In fact, we had to come home from Idaho earlier than I would have so we would be back in time. Luckily there wasn't a whole lot of preparing to do since we aren't expected to buy our own school supplies, score! My kids go to Smiley Elementary. Jayda is now in third grade and Skyler is in first. What the what!? My kids are huge and I can't handle it. Jayda has Mrs. Hardesty and Skyler has Mr. Flynn and so far I love both of them. Our last school year in NJ was a bit rough on a lot of levels, so it's hugely refreshing to switch to such a great school with wonderful teachers. Jayda's entire attitude towards education has changed a lot. She loves going, loves her teachers and friends and even likes reading and doing homework. Skyler is still learning to enjoy all the homework, but he still seems to like school and is always to happy telling me about his day and what he did. He also loves giving me the gossip on who got in trouble, even if it was him!
