Where there's Smoke...

Jayda got to go on her very first field trip a few weeks ago. The preschool combined and took a trip to the local firehouse, where they learned all about fire safety, what to do if they were ever confronted with fire, or a burning house, and how the firemen helped. The man in charge was Fireman Jim, and I thought he was so good with the kids and did such a great job showing them around. Jayda cracked me up, she's pretty much in her own fantasy land all the time, where I'm sure she's surrounded by princesses, the color pink and Dora, so there were a few times that I caught her drifting off. However, she was sure to tell the fireman that she didn't like smoke because it would get in her hair and mess up her ponytail. I was so proud.

Watching a video on fire safety. It was a cute movie that the kids liked, and even had Little Richard in it singing about the importance of stop, drop and roll!

The hat would mess up her hair, that's why she's not wearing it...sheesh!
