...well, I guess it's not the bear's fault.
When Jayda was born, we got a Care Bear that looked similar to this one, only with a little drawstring that plays a sweet version of Twinkle Twinkle little Star. We've held onto it and kept it available for Skyler, with the idea that he would find the music soothing. We were wrong.
This bear has the power to plunge Skyler into a deep clinical depression causing the saddest face, biggest crocodile tears, and loudest crying I have ever heard. He does not want to look at it, and he does not want to hear it. We have had several experiences (and maybe done a few experiments, so sue us!), to verify the fact that it is nothing other then the bear causing the horrible emotional trauma. I honestly don't understand it. Maybe if we need to find something to soothe him during hard times, we should find something less scary, like a creepy smiling clown!

Clinton used to do the same thing! It's less frequent now, but whenever he heard any soft, soothing music he would go into a sobbing frenzy! Even cell phone music would set him off. Poor Skyler, I know just what you mean about the sad face and croc tears. Poor guy! I can't believe how much blogging you've done! I'm so glad you're keeping us all posted on what's going on. I think about you often and grieve the fact that you're not here anymore. :( I hope everything goes great for you guys and I'm so glad we can keep in touch! Love ya! ;)
yikes. that's funny. now that would make a great seinfeld episode -
we would probably do experiments too-"is it the bear, or is it that she thinks we're trying to put her to sleep?" That's crazy though, and made me chuckle a bit that a pink cuddly bear could cause that reaction...
That is so sad. Maybe you can find something else to find confort in.
That is so funny! Looks like the move went well. I love all your pics looks like you guys are having fun!
