A Month in Idaho

After a long and tough semester, going home to Idaho for a month was the best thing we could have done. I hadn't seen my family for a year, and I was ready for a slower pace, good food and tons of time with my family, who I'm totally crazy about. All of my siblings, except Greg, were home and available to get together almost daily. Greg made it home from Portland for the last week, so we got everyone together that week and it was heaven. I'll probably break up my month into a few different posts, but here are some things we did while in Idaho.

Tons of family dinners, my mom and I had a blast finding yummy things to make for everyone. It was definitely a highlight of the day. I also got to meet Davina, Andrew's girlfriend. It took about ten minutes and I was hooked.

Lots of napping. The picture is of the kids, but let's be honest, I probably napped way more than they did. In all fairness though, I was waking up at 5:30am to exercise with my mom every morning. Crazy? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.
Fed Jayda's kitty milk, because well, it was thirsty.

Went swimming, a lot. Rarely did a day go by that we didn't have our swimsuits on.

Did some hiking. It wasn't the kids first choice of things to do, but once we were on the mountain they loved it. Sky was adamant about being the leader, and luckily he had the speed to do it.

Read lots of books. Grandma made sure that the kids had plenty to read.

Played with legos, ALL DAY. Legos everywhere, but the kids loved them. Please excuse Jayda's crazy hair, and Sky's chapped lips.

Played in the sprinklers. I didn't get a picture, but there was a mini bounce house that the kids played it. That, plus the sprinklers, made for a good time.
