Jayda just got this easel from her Grandma J not too long ago, which has turned out to be an absolute haven of young creativity. She loves to draw, but up until recently her drawings have been little more then random scribbles. So imagine my surprise when she called to me that she had just drawn her daddy! Look at that picture, not bad for her first one. It slightly resembles Beavis from, well, you know, and I'm not quite sure what the vertical eyebrows are all about, but I LOVED it. Since then she has learned to draw in hair, chins, ears and other facial features, I'm quite proud of her, especially since I am pretty much the opposite of artistic!

My little girls draws the same way big head and two legs from the head. No body. That made me smile when I saw that. Great picture.
Aww! She is to die for! I love Jayda so much!!!!!!
That is so fun. I love it when your kids happily surprise you.
She's so cute! I love her little girly/proud but shy-pose! I love reading about your kids!
Too Cute!
One parent teacher conf I went to,
many moons ago, the teacher had saved portraits from every month & showed me the progress.. which relates to the development of the brain & what the child 'sees' to draw. It was fascinating.
Wow!
