Bring on 2008! It's hard to believe that we're almost to the end of a decade already. I always really like the new year, it's refreshing. I like to reflect on the year previous, but more than that, I'm always excited to see what the new year will bring. I'm also a HUGE believer in new year's resolutions. I can remember most of the resolutions I made last year and accomplished some of them! I just think it's good to constantly trying to make yourself into a better person, plus I like to challenge myself a little. It can be frustrating, but so worth it when I get what I set out to achieve. So this year I have a ridiculously long list. Chances are slim that I will achieve them all, but I can certainly try...
1. Lose weight. So cliche right? I don't care, this year I'm going to do it if it kills me! And it's not really about the appearance, because quite honestly, I'm cool with the way I look. I'm more interested in the HEALTH aspect. There's just something about getting cancer twice that tells a person it's time to wake up. I don't want to have to worry about living to see forty, and although no one has the guarantee of living a hundred years, there are definitely things I can do to help the process along. So there's a really long explanation for a very universal goal. I'd like to get down to my target weight, which is between 98-123.
2. Get completely out of debt this year. We have a good shot at doing that since we're selling our house. And thank goodness. Debt is a crippling, festering stumbling block and I can't wait to kiss it goodbye. Just in time to get into even more outrageous debt in dental school!
3. Read five books this year. Good books, books with substance that make me want to be a better person. I haven't been reading near as much as I used to and I really need to start again before I go stupid.
4. Journal once a week. I used to be a huge journaler and over the last year or so I've really let that habit come to a halt. Now looking back I've realized that I let so many amazing things in our lives go unrecorded. It bummed me out, so I'm getting back in the habit.
So those are some of my bigger resolutions. I have quite a few more, but to list them would be redundant, and would require a lot of explanation, so I won't. What are some of your new year's resolutions?

Those are some really good ones. You have inspired me to sit down and actually think about what I'd like to do!
So awesome you're doing resolutions. I'm sick of lying to myself so I didn't make any this year! I know, pathetic :) !
