Okay, next to Christmas, I'd have to say that the girls trips with Jackie and my mom rank as probably my favorite times of the year! It's hard to say how the girl's trip tradition got started, but we've been doing it now for a few years. Usually we are gone to SLC for three days, two nights, but with Glenn's schedule and not wanting to leave him home alone too long, we made it two days one night. We had such a blast. I wanted to take more pictures, but here's what I got.
This is my mom and I the morning she came to pick me up. Jayda was really bummed that she couldn't come, but after being promised a dress when we came back, she was satisfied. We picked up Jackie and headed straight for the Cheesecake Factory, a magical place that I had not yet been. The food was DELICIOUS! As bummed as I am that we don't have one, it's probably a good thing because I'd end up ordering cheesecakes from them night and day!
After lunch we hit the town and enjoyed some good old fashion shopping and female bonding. As is tradition, I made sure the wear the most inappropriate shoes and ended up with massive sores and blisters all over my feet by the time we got back to the hotel. I'd also been battling a weird eye infection that I get every once and a while and by the time we went to bed, my eyes were really red and irritated. I have a picture of my red nasty eyes, but seriously, who wants to see that.
The next morning I woke up to GLOWING red eyes, they were beyond bloodshot and just red and swollen, it was horrible. I was really worried about being able to even get around. Luckily I brought my glasses and was able to get some drops from the giftshop, I don't know why my eyes do that to me!
Anyway, we had breakfast as Mimi's cafe, we were all so tired and hungry from the day before that we spent most of our breakfast still trying to wake up, but I still got a picture. Do you like how all of our pictures are us eating?
The weather was not cooperating with us that day and the rain was pouring most of the morning, but my mom had her umbrellas and we pressed forward! We continued to make our way around Salt Lake pausing briefly for a few nerdy pictures...
We finished our trip having lunch at an Italian Restaurant, I think the name was Baggios, or Biggios or something like that! It was good. It was late in the day and there was hardly anyone there, which is good because we were laughing our heads off! It was a blast.
Of course, nothing beats going home to your family when it's over!

Looks like you had fun! Most of my family photos are of us around the table too!
What a fun trip! I'd love to do something like that with my sisters and mom. The food all sounds so yummy and I hope you got lots of good shopping in!
