A Day at the Orchard

In September we had heard about the Linvilla Orchards, which was having a huge apple picking festival. We had so much fun and stayed to play for about four hours. We rode the hay wagon through the orchards, looked at all the cute pumpkin themes fairy tales, ate delicious fair food, played in their playground, visited the petting zoo and danced to their kids band. And of course at the end we picked a huge box of apples that taunted me until I finally figured out a way to use them all! It was so worth the drive and definitely something we'll be doing again next year!

Jayda's Impromptu Photo Shoot

Not too long ago we got a new camera, which we are still trying to figure out! So to play around, Glenn took some quick shots of Jayda on the quilt that her grandma made. I think they turned out really cute!

Jayda's First Day of Preschool

We were lucky enough to find a good preschool close by at Houston Park for Jayda to attend this year. Her first day she was extremely disappointed to learn that Miss Annette would no longer be her teacher, but she has since adapted. She loves learning her letters and numbers, craft time, and playing with her friends and cousin Brannon.

Skyler really misses his sister when she's gone!

A Day of Rest in Valley Forge

Ever since we first got to Philly, all we've ever heard about is how tough the second year is, and they weren't a'kiddin! It's a tough year and Glenn is gone studying much more than we're used to, so when we do get a day to ourselves, we take advantage as much as possible. So when Stake Conference came rolling around (may lightening strike me) we played hooky and took off to Valley Forge for some relaxing and walking. It was a great way to spend the day and here are the pictures!

Visit with Grandma and Grandpa Green

Only a few days after getting home from Idaho, Glenn's parents came to visit us after a two and a half year mission in the Trinidad Islands. We had such a good time with them, doing things like going to Zwahlen's, Longwood Gardens, Hershey Chocolate World, Kitchen Kettle Village and The Pop Shop in New Jersey. It was so good to see them and catch up after their amazing experience. Come back and visit us again soon Blaine and Irma!

Visiting Friends

The next best thing to visiting family when going home, is visiting our awesome Idaho friends. With the amount of time that we had at home, we were able to see quite a few of our friends too, which was a lot of fun, we sure miss them!

Suz and Gavin joined us for a trip to Cafe Rio, which had just been opened in Idaho Falls. Yes, it really is as good as they all say!

A bunch of HS friends came to my parents house for a fun patio lunch/birthday lunch for Janna. It was so fun to see everyone, and we missed the girls that couldn't make it. The craziest part was noticing how many kids there were among all of us. Who would have thought that all these years later we'd be getting our kids together to play!

We were able to spend quite a bit of time with Jacob and Suz going to breakfast, going to the park and the boys got to go to the movies. Suz was sick, so we weren't about to get our night out on that trip, but I'll get you this Christmas Suz!

My HS friends were also awesome enough to arrange babysitters for all of our kids so that we could all go to dinner for some very tasty Mexican food. Good times!

I got to have a very fun lunch with my friends Dirk and Kendra. Jeremy (Dirk) is what you would consider my adopted brother, and you wouldn't think any different if you saw us interact. Kendra is a friend from work and ironically is from PA, so we had a lot to talk about!
