Halloween was a lot of fun this year. It's so hard to believe that this was our third Halloween here, only one left in Philly! We started off with our yearly family Halloween party of decorating our Freddy Hill pumpkins and decorating cookies. I wanted to carve pumpkins too, but for the life of me I couldn't find one! We still had a lot of fun, Jayda luuuuurves craftime, so she ate it up.

Then came Jayda's school Halloween party and parade. The girl hit the jackpot with all of the candy and toys she came home with, and played the part of a sweet little fairy for the parade. The lady in the hat is her teacher Ms. McGlyn, we've loved her!

Later that night was the Halloween ward party that my cuz Tiff did an amazing job planning. It was combined with the chili cookoff, and the food was fantastic! Later we did trunk-or-treating, coming home with even more candy. This was the first year that Skyler was actually excited to dress up, he was "Lightening McQueen!"

We had planned to go trick-or-treating the actual night of Halloween, but in all honesty we were all so tired and Halloweened out that none of us were up for it. Plus, I just couldn't muster the idea of even MORE candy in the house (yeah, I've become that mom). Hope you all had a good Halloween too!

Today in Speech Therapy
Sky is learning to make the ffffff sound in speech therapy right now. To help him, his therapist brought a bunch of pictures that have the letter F in it. Our embarrassing lack of sports knowledge came out when she showed him a picture of a football. He looked at in and then declared it a ffffffbasketball!

Photo Shoot at Fairmount Park
After a good year of having photo equipment that I had NO idea what to do with, I finally got sick of it. I spent an entire day online watching tutorials and reading blogs, and went out later that day to try it out. I still have a LONG way to go, but now that I have a basic understanding of how to take and edit photos, it's become a LOT of fun! Here are a sample of a few!

Freddy Hill Farms
It's so crazy that we've lived here long enough to do this for a third time. Freddy Hills has become a fun tradition for us, only this year we missed Jayda who was at school. It was fun to have Sky to myself though, he did a graet job picking his pumpkin and made it through the corn maze pretty quickly. I also don't think I've ever seen a kid snarf an ice cream cone as fast as Skyler. Good times!

My New Hampshire Trip with Kelley
A couple years ago I had planned to spend Spring Break with Kelley's family, unfortunately we all got sick and weren't able to go. Luckily, I got another chance! Because of school Jayda and Glenn weren't able to go, but Sky and I had a great time. Our first day was spent roadtripping it up after church. The kids did a great job with the travel. Monday we went to the New Hampshire fair and ate a lot of delicious food. Tuesday we headed up to Maine, looked at their gorgeous lighthouses, played at a park right on the beach, and finished the day with my first lobster! Wednesday we went to Vermont, checked out the Queechie Gorge, watched glass blowing and mug making, saw the Joseph Smith Memorial, and ate some crazy awesome steaks. Kel's family was so welcoming and sweet with me and Skyler. We had an awesome time, and hopefully it won't be the last time we go up there.
