Glenn and I just found out some incredibly exciting news. After two years of hard work, Glenn has been accepted into dental school! He'll be enrolled in Temple University in Philadelphia, PA for four years! We're moving to Philadelphia! It's still feels incredibly surreal and I'm having a hard time believing that we're actually going to move soon. Fortunately for us, we will be moving close to good company. My two cousins and their wives will also be in Philly with us. I'm really excited about that, it's going to be really fun getting to know them all better.
I'm also going to be begininning another crazy adventure...being a stay-at-home mom! Crazy as it sounds, I'm anticipating this change almost more than the move. There has really never been a long term period of time, since I was sixteen, that I haven't worked. For years, so much of my life has been centered around school, work and establishing a career. I was almost surprised at how much it meant to me to have children and be a mother. I'm very nervous to NOT WORK anymore, but also so excited to enter an entirely different realm of my life by taking care of my children full time. It's going to be very cool.
Change is scary, uncomfortable and difficult, but change is also wonderful, refreshing and exciting. I'm feeling the intensities of both right now. I have really grown to love the lives we have established for ourselves in Pocatello. I love our house, our yard, the park nearby. I've grown to love countless numbers of people here. I've so much enjoyed being so close to my parents, who have turned themselves into amazing grandparents. I have long-term friends who I have been close to since the "training-bra" days. It's not going to be easy to leave. But, I do believe that what makes life so wonderful, is accepting that there are so many other incredible experiences to be had when we're willing to begin new chapters. Friends are never lost, just volumized, and reunions are so much sweeter after time. I'm looking forward to our new experience, and I will cherish the memories I have had in Pocatello. It is, afterall, my home.
So, I'm going to start taking this blogging thing more seriously. For one thing, I've become a LOUSY journaler over the last few years, and also because it will be a window into our lives for our family and friends who will be far away. I plan to post plenty of pictures, and, since I am very wordy, I will most likely blog often! Please feel free to leave comments, I would just love to hear from all of you, OFTEN!
