Stuff, stuff, and more stuff...

It's so late, I'm not even close to being tired, and I wish more than anything that I had the laptop so I could finish blogging all the stuff that I actually have pictures for. Unfortunately, Glenn has the laptop at work right now, so this will be a visually boring blog, sorry.

Here's the low-down on our lives right now...

We're two and a half months away from moving, which sounds kind of far away but feels like TOMORROW! We've finally started to pack up parts of our house like books and things. We are also getting rid of a TON of junk. I laughed to myself the whole time wondering why the heck we even held on to some of that crap for so long. Seriously, I didn't even know we had half of it until I uncovered it under the rest of the junk we didn't need. It feels so good to clean out the house!

We do have an apartment reserved in Philly. Apparently it's on a HUGE complex in a residential area of Philadelphia called Roxborough. Both my cousins are going to be there too, so it will be nice to see some familiar faces!

My doctor advised me to do cardio for an hour a day since I run the OUTRAGEOUS possibility of getting diabetes. At first I thought he was crazy, now I'm starting to love it. I've even been running a bit, which I swore I'd never be able to do. Maybe after a few months I'll start to lose a little weight, I can only hope.

Glenn has been doing pretty well at the gym and is becoming pretty popular with the clients. He has been able to sign quite a few people in a short amount of time and is loving it. I'm really happy for him, it's been a real boost for all of us.

Skyler is almost one! It's hard to believe that by the end of the month I'll have two kids over the age of one. He can climb the full flight of stairs in a blink of an eye, it feels like that anyway. If I don't keep the gate up, he'll climb up the stairs everytime I turn my head! He's SO fun and incredibly cute with his smile, giggle and mesmerizing blue eyes.

Jayda is coming upon a birthday pretty soon as well. She talks so well and surprises me everyday with how she can form her sentences. I copied quite a few of your ideas and finally started posting some of the crazy things she says. She loves, loves, loves Dora and will eat anything with the adjective "Dora" in front of it. So at dinner time we find ourselves eating Dora chicken with Dora broccoli and a side of Dora salad. We finally concluded a few weeks ago that Miss Jayda is pretty lactose intolerant. She was on soy formula as a baby because of her allergy to cow's milk. She seemed to do okay on regular milk as a toddler, but about a month ago we suffered a few nights of complete disgustingness (I'll spare details), and daily complaints of a stomach ache. After some experimenting, we realized that it was the dairy. She drinks soy milk now and can have cheese and yogurt in very small amounts without problems. I feel bad for her, but if this is the worst that she has to deal with, it's not too bad. Fortunately she loves the soy (as does her mom), and doesn't seem a bit deprived at the situation.

I did get Jayda enrolled in a preschool in Philly for the fall. I'm so excited for her, she's going to love it, and I'm going to love it!

Today I got to go shopping, by myself, for two hours, FOR myself. It was a Mother's Day present, all I wanted were clothes. So I got some indulgence cash and time to myself to spend it as I pleased! It was awesome, but I have a problem when I shop for clothes. The only color I am attracted to when I shop is black! We joke it's because it matches the color of my soul, ha ha. But seriously, I guess I just feel like it's a good color for me. So today I worked really hard to buy clothes that were other colors. I did pretty good too, only bought one black shirt. I'm branching out!

All right ya'll, I could easily go on and on all night long, but there's a point where is just gets ridiculous. I will be back asap with pictures and things, but in the meantime, enjoy the beautiful weather!

Good for you! Way to go on the 'cardio' thing. I've been getting quicker on the elliptical too- it feels good once you get a routine established- then all you can see is improvements. ;)
