My First Pregnancy

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? Kind of, we quit taking birth control to see if I could even get pregnant. A month later we found out I could!

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? Yes

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? Really excited, but very nervous and surprised.

4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? No way!

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? 24

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? When the preggo test showed the line! We found out really quick because if I was ever even a day late, I took a test!


7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? We told eachother that we weren't going to tell anyone for a few months, by the end of the day, pretty much everyone knew. We told our parents first.

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Yes.

9. DUE DATE? I want to say August 16th, but we had her pretty early, so I really can't remember now.

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? For the first trimester I was really nauseated, I didn't throw up, but there were times that I really wish I could!

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? I once had a really weird craving for sour kraut, I also like cold cereal a lot. Other then that, I was more concerned with what I actually wanted to eat.

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? Glenn made flambe once (a dessert made with rum, usually delicious, but the alcohol smell made me want to die), that was pretty bad. Smells got me the most.

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? girl

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? I always wanted a boy first because I wished I had an older brother, but I couldn't be happier with what I have.

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? I'd rather not talk about that! :-)

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? I had a great shower thrown by my friend April. It was a lot of fun.

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? I knew

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? I had gestational diabetes, so I had to be really careful and check my sugars a lot. I also had the grossest, most swollen feet you've ever seen. Complete strangers would comment on them, it was nasty!

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? Pocatello Regional.

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? I was in labor for seven hours, and then after realizing she was breached, had a C-section. Gosh!

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? Glenn

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Just Glenn, I didn't need to put on a show for anyone!

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? None of it was natural, I was induced, and then had a C-section!

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? While I was in labor I got a half hour relieve with nubane sp? and then I got a spinal block for the C-section, which was glorious!

25. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 6lbs 12 oz

26. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? August 6th, and for the life of me, I can't remember the time.

28. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? She will be three in August!
