Ramble On Teresa, Ramble On...

The house is CLEAN! It is so clean and I LOVE IT! It's crazy how a clean house motivates you to accomplish so many other things, like suddenly you have the capacity to conquer the world, why? Because the house is clean!! AHHHH.

I got a good workout today. I'm starting a weightloss journal for my weightloss goals. I will share them with you later on, unless I'm a failure, then we'll just pretend that we never had this conversation.

I find that I get updated on my current news at the gym, because they show serious channels on their TV, so I don't have a choice. I was just introduced to Glenn Beck today and I liked him. I don't know a dang thing about him, but I agreed with his views and he's a little bit of a bully, which makes him fun to watch! I think I'm going to have to look into the situation further...

Speaking of news, can you believe the Texas polygamist bust! I can't even begin to tell you the problems I have with that situation. First of all, it's once again, making our church look bad. Second, you have innocent children taken away from their mothers, granted for their own protection, but c'mon! These kids didn't do anything wrong, and now they have to endure the trauma of being seperated from their families, how messed up are they going to be? I don't know all the details that went into their removal, but I just hope they set them up with a stable situation soon, and that there isn't too much switching and moving. And then today I hear that THREE out of FIVE of all the teen girls from 14-17 were either pregnant or had already given birth. Man, children, with children taken away from their families, it's heartbreaking. I'm not closed minded, and I'm not saying that these people are bad people, but a law is a law, and the law was broken. It all goes back to how it effects the kids, which is poorly. I just hope that the situation gets resolved quickly and responsibly with the kids as a priority. And I'm really glad that I'm not a social worker in Texas!

I just finished reading the Lovely Bones, which was intense. I'm hugging my kids a lot more after having read it. Now I'm reading Kobul Beauty School, which was recommended by my mom and I am LOVING IT. It's about a beautician who works to reestablish the beauty industry in Afganistan after the reign of the Taliban. It's amazing what this woman has the guts to do, and in a way it makes my life seem a little insignificant. But I'm still young, maybe when my kids are grown I'll open a bakery in Iraq or something. Or maybe I'll just help my neighbor pull their weeds, who knows...
