I realize that my latest blogs have mostly been my own musings, rantings, and ravings. While I can't guarantee that those will end anytime soon, I can guarantee that I do have family news and pictures on the way. As usual, our laptop has decided to give us attitude, and I'm ready to kick the laptop out the window and just get a Mac. Anyway, they will be up soon, so keep checking in from time to time!
In the meantime, here are some beautiful pictures that I found of Alaska. I spent a summer there when I was twenty, and it was, without a doubt, one of the coolest summers of my life. It was also an incredibly defining experience for me and I learned a lot about life and about myself going so far away by myself. Gosh, these pictures make me homesick for Denali! The Northern Lights were really as spectacular as the pictures, and the sunsets were even more spectacular. And since it rained all the time, the rainbows were endless. And they weren't weak, faint rainbows, they were outrageous, colors-in-your-face rainbows. Magnificent. You just couldn't beat those skies. These are for you Jenny!

i just clipped an article about a city in alaska and it has the same photogenic landscapes - i had no idea i would ever want to visit there, but now i really do!
Those photos are beautiful! I've always wanted to visit Alaska. What were you doing there?
I was in collage, and really didn't want to spend another lousy summer stuck in Poky. So I applied to a few hotels in Alaska and ended up going all by myself to work in a gift shop in Denali. It was one of the craziest, scariest things I had done at that point in my life, and it was also one of the funnest and most amazing things I've ever done too. I love it there.
haha, I spelled "college" wrong, that's ironic.
