When I was in HS, I was a HUGE Beatles freak. My friend Heather and I listened to EVERYTHING they ever sang, read every magazine they were ever in, and watched every movie they ever made. We LOVED them! I still love the Beatles, but my obsession has certainly evened out since. But tonight I sat in front of the TV, underwhelmed at the choices before me, and I came across their first movie, A Hard Days Night. And it was wonderful and comforting and nostalgic and all of those other good feeling words. Their music is so fun and their humor seemed so before it's time. Anyway, I enjoyed every minute of it, and if you even remotely enjoy the Beatles, you should watch it because it's quite entertaining.
Just a quick update about the whole thyroid escapade that has been my life, I'm ALMOST done! I completed my two days of isolation at my mom's house after swallowing my radioactive pill. The two days were actually very pleasant and I really enjoyed the one-on-one I got with my parents, especially my mom, who I got to see the most. Despite the doctors saying that there would be no side-effects, I've been fairly nauseated over the last few days, but who knows, we've also had the stomach flu going around. I'll be taking my meds again Wed, hopefully!
As I've expressed, it's been a tough ride, but now that it's said and done, I have nothing left to feel but gratitude. I feel like we have been so blessed with friends and family who have been so supportive and wonderful and caring. My mom has brought dinners for over a week, so many people have called, written and visited to check in on us. We have felt so looked after and loved through out this whole thing, and there has never been a single moment where we've felt abandoned. I just want to say thank you to all of you!
