Jayda got to visit Santa twice this year, once at the ward party, and once at the King of Prussia mall. Jayda is at such a fun Christmas age because she's ecstatic about anything that is wrapped in colorful paper, but doesn't have a single preference to what she wants. The first time we saw Santa, she told him she wanted a candy cane (she noticed that they were being freely passed out). The second time she saw him, all she wanted to do was show him a nasty, but treasured penny she found on the ground. When asked what she wanted, all she said was "a present." I hope she's this easy to please for a long time!
I realize that neither times did Skyler get to see Santa because during both opportunities he was exhausted, grouchy and never would have stood for sitting on a big red stranger's lap. There is always next year!
Waiting to see Santa at the mall
I didn't actually get a picture of Jayda seeing Santa at the mall. They respectfully requested that you not take your own pictures, and pay $50 to get some taken from the staff. It took everything I had not to hurry and snap my own picture, but I knew the guilt would eat at me...for at least a few minutes!
The tree and the decorations at the mall were so beautiful. I couldn't even get the entire tree in the picture. I LOVE Christmas decorations.
This Santa did a great job, and the beard is real!

She's SO cute! I took Cara to the Santa at the mall and he was TERRIBLE!!! He was like 22 and didn't even ask her to sit on his lap or what she wanted!!! ARGH!! As she stood there in awkward silence with who SHOULD be a beloved man and gift giver- I actually contemplated violence, then realized the permanent damage that would cause my daughter (what with her witnessing her mother beating the livin crap out of Santa) and refrained. Terrible. We had a good S visit later on with the fam though. ;) I'm glad to hear you guys had a fun Christmas!
PS- I LOVE the hat your wearing in the pic with Jayda- you look SOOOO cute!

We saw santa twice too, and I still couldn't get my four year old anywhere near either of them.
