Longwood Gardens

Last Friday we went to the Longwood Gardens, which were these HUGE indoor and outdoor botanical gardens about an hour from our house. They were completely decked for Christmas and absolutely beautiful. The kids may have been even more mesmerized than we were. There were a ton of beautiful Christmas trees, lights, fountains, and even a lit fountain show. This will definitely be an occasion that we repeat!

As usual, I'll be completely bombarding you with pictures, a lot of them aren't very good, but still worth posting for memory's sake!

I'm sorry about the fuzzy pic, but this was one of my favorite parts of the gardens. That is a cranberry bog in the center, and there were carolers dressed up in the old time caroling clothes clear back in front of the Christmas tree. It was so pretty!

I've never seen a grass meadow INSIDE before. This greenhouse was huge.

This picture makes me laugh because we COULD NOT get Skyler to look at the camera, he was glued to the fountain behind him. It was nice to go somewhere that captured the kids attention so well!

The fountain show was one of the first things we saw, which was probably the favorite among all four of us. A few days later Jayda heard the song that accompanied the fountain show on the radio and said, "hey, it's the fountain song!"

The outdoor lights were fantastic, and probably the closest thing we'd get to Temple Square in Utah, which Glenn had never seen, so we killed two birds that night!
